I've only used a few days, but this is perfect for every day. It's creamy, not grainy. May need a higher amount of zinc oxide for severe sores, but I rarely have them. This is my new GoTo butt cream.I have tried all sorts of creams to help alleviate chaffing between my legs, including several well-known brands, some of which I have found to be better than others at relieving the soreness, but none perfect. I felt had to try something else, but rather than go to the doctors, I tried this cream from Medcosa. Wonderful, I have only been putting this Diaper rash cream on for a few days, but it has made such a great difference. This is the first time in about 3 years I can say the chaffing is not bothering me anymore. Its hasn’t gone completely yet, but its about 90% better, and only having used this diaper cream for just a few days, I am certain after a few days of further application, I will be completely free from chaffing. This stuff is amazing.A point worth making... diaper cream is not just for infants, but it is effective and safe for adults too. I have no children/grandchild still in nappies, but I hope this review helps those wondering if this medication will work to reduce and eliminate an irritating rash they or their children are suffering from. If it works this well on an adult chaffing, I am pretty sure it will work well on your child’s tender skin. The active ingredient, Dimethicone, which is a silicone-based polymer, that is frequently found incorporated into skincare products. It is the second most common moisturizing ingredient found in most moisturizers and is regarded as safe. Dimethazone helps to condition the skin... improving its softness and suppleness. The zinc oxide soothes and protects, by eliminating the fungi and bacteria attacking the damaged skin, and causing all the pain, as well as nourishing the skin. It is Hypoallergenic, which means that it does not produce allergic reactions in those who come into contact with it, as well as being Organic. I found the cream absorbs rapidly into the skin and sooths almost instantly.I particularly liked the fact that the ingredients were mostly natural. Especially helpful are the Chamomile, Beeswax & Aloe Vera it contains, all of which help to repair the damaged skin. The rich, creamy formula is pleasant and easy to apply, but any excess wipes off equally easily. Almost as soon as I applied it, I could feel it instantly adding moisture to the skin, as well as replenishing the skins natural oils. An excellent product.A little goes a long wayMy granddaughter is 8 months old and has not experienced any kind of nappy rash yet, which I am sure is because my daughter-in-law regularly moisturises her skin with top quality products. This barrier cream is a lower price than the well-known product that she usually buys but it is just as effective. The cream texture feels cool on your hand and although it is a thinner consistency than expected, you only need to use a small amount because it spreads well and provides a good covering across the skin. The cream has a pleasant smell and leaves my hands feeling lovely and soft after applying to my granddaughters skin. The ingredients are described as being hypoallenic which I haven’t heard of before. I looked this word up and couldn't find it, so I am wondering if the word on the packaging is misspelt and perhaps should read hypoallergenic. Hypoallergenic just means that the product is less likely to cause any bad reactions, but there isn’t any mention how this product was tested for that apart from stating the ingredients are all plant based, organic and natural. They include Chamomile, Beeswax and Aloe Vera as well as Dimethicone (which helps improve the texture and feel of the cream), 20% zinc Oxide and Allantoin (which helps keep skin soft). The tube has an easy-to use cap which can be opened with one hand. I think that the image on Amazon is a little misleading because it shows three tubes containing 85mgs in each instead of two tubes containing 100mgs. The product itself works really well and is a good price. This is a review of a twin pack of Medcosa Nappy Cream. At time of writing the review this costs £16.99 for the two tubes.Whilst tubes are beneficial for travelling as they take up less room, personally I prefer nappy cream in a tub as I find it easier (and therefore quicker) to get out and apply.I was surprised that this cream is a little runnier than I expect from a nappy cream, so it's easy to squirt out too much with no easy way of getting it back in the tube, so it goes to waste. When spreading it on, I find that due to it being more liquid, it has a tendency to rub back off onto my hand when I'm trying to make sure the whole area is covered. It does provide protection and my little ones haven't got any nappy rash since using. But for these limitations I have deducted a star. This Nappy Cream is exactly the same as their 'All Purpose Rash Cream'Exact same ingredients. But, it is a really good cream. In the last year, my skin has suddenly become sensitive to all sorts of materials and it gets red, and comes up in blisters, hives and bumps.Just little patches, for instance under a watch strap (no matter what material the strap)This is a large tube of thick white cream. It shows up white on application but is soon absorbed into the skin and the relief is almost immediate. It can be used on babies too for nappy rash and dribble rash.It also seems to go a long way so it should last well.I don't know how I coped without it now!Recommended
