These were purchased for a trail mix bar for my sons backyard camping birthday party and they doubled for holding campfire beans. They worked great for both hot and dry items. The lids were perfect to mix up the trail mix goodies and the cups were the right size to hold a good portion of beans and to fit on their plates next to a hot and a bag of chips. We used 9inch cake pans as plates for reference and the cup measurements were the same as on amazon. I was looking for cups that would match a brown paper lunch bag and these worked out perfectly. I bought others that I thought were the right size and color and wished someone would have wrote a review, so I hope this helps!I use these for ice cream... coconut, peanut butter with Reece's Pieces, Vanilla, and Chocolate Mint. Does quite well with the storage of home made ice creams. But, in a crunch, I used one for some soup and it leaked (badly)!!
