I've never used anything other than tupperware containers for my homemade fruit ice cream, which I usually end up breaking when scooping or eating the ice cream from them. These containers are huge with very sturdy, thick plastic walls and a flexible silicon lid that provides a tight fit. I can't speak about their durability because I've only had them for a few days, but so far I'm really happy with this purchase and would highly recommend them for friends and family!! :)
